Join us for an evening of live music and discussion with the creative team of Dr. Sun Yat-sen prior to the American premiere at The Santa Fe Opera in July 2014. Written by the distinguished Chinese-born American composer Huang Ruo, this enthralling historical opera, with its thrilling blend of Eastern, Western, folk and classical styles, depicts the epic struggle to overthrow China’s ancient monarchy and build a modern national identity for one of the world’s oldest civilizations.
