VIEW EVENT DETAILS2009 US-China Legal Exchange The Asia Society and the US Department of Commerce will host a senior delegation from China's Ministry of Commerce for a day-long seminar, open to the business, legal, and academic communities, to discuss China's amendments to the Patent Law and draft the Telecommunications Law. The US-China Legal Exchange occurs as part of the Commercial Law Working Group activities under the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade, established in 1983 by US and China as a forum for high-level dialogue on bi-lateral trade issues. The purpose of this dialogue between the two countries is to provide the US business and legal communities with an opportunity to consult directly with Chinese legal experts and government regulators on important changes in these two areas.
