Join us as the Asia Society and Citi Foundation present Ms. Noeleen Heyzer, who will discuss the need for a paradigm shift, one that will turn the vicious cycle of fossil fuel dependency, unsustainable growth, climate change and poverty, into a virtuous cycle, which focuses on growth, equitable distribution, and a focus on renewable and efficient energy, climate action, and energy security. Ms. Heyzer is the first woman ever appointed to head ESCAP. She has received has received numerous international awards for her professional accomplishments and as a champion of women's rights. Ms. Heyzer was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2005.
