Book Launch: Educating for Global Competence
VIEW EVENT DETAILSAsia Society Partnership for Global Learning, Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), and the Smithsonian Institution will host a book launch event for Educating for Global Competence: Preparing Our Youth to Engage the World. The release will be accompanied by a discussion about educating students for global competence, using the framework developed as part of CCSSO's EdSteps initiative.
Veronica Boix Mansilla, Principal Investigator, Interdisciplinary Studies Project, Project Zero, Harvard Graduate School of Education and Anthony Jackson, Vice President, Asia Society, will present the book, and CCSSO Director Gene Wilhoit will moderate a panel discussion about the importance of infusing global competence in schools to prepare students to compete and collaborate in an increasingly interconnected world.
