Asian Contemporary Art Week 2014
As a member of Asian Contemporary Art Consortium, Asia Society is proud to once again participate in New York City's Asian Contemporary Art Week, which connects leading New York City galleries and museums to create a citywide offering of exhibitions, lectures, conversations, and performances by artists working both inside and outside of Asia. Here's more background from our friends at ACAW:
In its ninth edition, ACAW introduces the FIELD MEETING as its signature program (Oct 26 & 27, 2014 at Asia Society Museum)—a forum conceived as a studio visit on a communal scale—where artists, curators, and institutional leaders based in Asia and beyond will present recent projects and initiatives through a series of lecture-performances, talks, and discussions.
Curators, scholars, and museum professionals will receive priority RSVP. To register, please contact [email protected] with full name, title, and affiliation.
For more information on ACAW 2014 exhibitions, FIELD MEETING, and other special programs, please see the press release or visit www.acaw.info
This year Asia Society will participate in ACAW with the contemporary exhibition Nam June Paik: Becoming Robot, on view at Asia Society Museum fall 2014.
