Asian Contemporary Art Week 2014 Call for Participation

As a member of Asian Contemporary Art Consortium, Asia Society is proud to once again participate in New York City's Asian Contemporary Art Week, which connects leading New York City galleries and museums to create a citywide offering of exhibitions, lectures, conversations, and performances by artists working both inside and outside of Asia. Here's more background from our friends at ACAW:

Asian Contemporary Art Week (ACAW) returns to New York in fall of 2014 (October 22–31) to highlight the most stellar artistic voices in Asian art today!

Now in its ninth iteration, ACAW is a dynamic platform that brings together leading New York- and Asia-based art institutions, museums, and galleries to present the largest showcase of cutting-edge exhibitions, innovative projects, and provocative dialogues on current topics.

In its new format, ACAW 2014 introduces the Field Meeting, a forum that is the first of its kind outside Asia, which is aimed at fostering opportunities for artists and regional art professionals to network, share their concepts and expertise, and forge partnerships for future collaborations. ACAW 2014 will also present Keynote Works, a major online exhibition, as its centerpiece, adding exciting new dimensions to this vibrant city-wide event.

This year Asia Society will participate in ACAW with the contemporary exhibition Nam June Paik: Evolution, Revolution, Resolution, on view at Asia Society Museum fall 2014.
