Asia Society New York 2007 Annual Dinner
NEW YORK, November 6, 2007 - Asia Society recognized distinguished guests and announced new initiatives furthering U.S.-Asia ties at its 27th Annual Dinner, held at New York City's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. The black tie affair honored UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company Neville Isdell, and Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi. Recipient of a Special Cultural Achievement Award, Taniguchi is best known in the United States as the architect for the expansion of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and is currently designing a major building project for Asia Society Texas Center, slated for completion in 2009.
