Ambassador Israeli took up his assignment in Seoul in August, 2009. After joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel in 1978, Ambassador Tuvia Israeli was the Vice Consul of the Embassy of Israel in Alexandria, Egypt in the years 1982-85 and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Israel in Asuncion, Paraguay in the years 1985-87. He was also the Consul of the Embassy of Israel in Stockholm, Sweden in 1990-93. He served several positions in International Cooperation Division, Situation room of the Director General Bureau, and Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. He was the DCM of the Permanent Mission of Israel to the U.N. in Geneva in 2000-2004. He was the Director of Jordan Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Israel to the Republic of Korea.
Ambassador Tuvia Israeli was born in Romania. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Sciences and International Relations at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
