Young-Gak (Ken) Yun has been the current Chairman and CEO of the Seoul-based Samjong KPMG for the past ten years and presently serves as the Director of UN Global Compact Korea Association, the Director of the Merry Year Foundation, an advisor to the Academy of Korean Studies, the President of the University of Pennsylvania's Korean Alumni Association, the Director of the Areum Jigi Foundation, the Director of Forrest of Life, as the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine, and a member of the Financial Services Commission on the Financial Hub Committee. In conjunction to holding his various roles as a financial advisor, he worked on the transition team for H.E. Lee Myung-bak, President of the Republic of Korea. Yun has led several high profile engagements in dealing with international trade disputes for the Samjong Consulting Group before the establishment of Samjong KPMG. He also represented the Korean government to the WTO anti-dumping negotiations and as their international legal advisor.
Prior to working at Samjong KPMG, Yun served as a financial analyst for Hewlett-Packard and Arthur Young & Co., and as an attorney in the Law Offices of Arnold & Porter and Sidley & Austin. Yun holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. and L.L.M from the Duke University School of Law. He recently earned the Silver Tower Award for Industrial Service Merit in 2010.
