Taro and His Grandmother: A Tale from Japan

VIEW EVENT DETAILS

Bring your family for a fanciful afternoon of travel through Asia through the gift of storytelling. The reading of "Taro and His Grandmother," a tale from Japan, will be led by Sangeeta Choksi. The story is about a young boy called Taro who lives with his grandmother in a remote village in Japan. Taro’s grandmother tells him anecdotes about how she is able to save an entire village using her wit and experience. The tale reveals the importance of elders in our society, and increases appreciation for wisdom among young readers.
