Private Breakfast with Asia Society President Josette Sheeran
VIEW EVENT DETAILSJoin Josette Sheeran, President of Asia Society, for a private breakfast roundtable chaired by Akhil Gupta, Chairman of Blackstone India, for an interactive and off-the-record discussion on key developments in the relationships between the United States and countries in and around the South Asian neighbourhood.
The conversation will also draw on Sheeran’s extensive experience in international diplomacy through leading the world’s largest humanitarian organisation, the United Nations World Food Programme, and through serving as the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business, and Agricultural Affairs, and as Deputy U.S. Trade Representative. Sheeran also previously served as Vice Chairperson of the World Economic Forum. In 2011, Forbes named Sheeran the world's 30th most powerful woman, and Sheeran's TED Talk on ending world hunger has been viewed more than one million times.
