HONG KONG, March 10, 2017 — In this timely discussion, Michael J. Green, senior vice president for Asia and Japan Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, provided his perspectives on the Trump administration's approach to Asia, in particular Washington's relations with Beijing and Tokyo. Green was cautiously optimistic that the White House would continue to advance bilateral ties with China and Japan. "There is a bit of uncertainty, potential disruptions, but in terms of structure ... I do not think the U.S. engagement in Asia is going in fundamentally a different direction," he said.
