Laurent Fabius: France and China Are Strategic Partners
HONG KONG, May 6, 2013 — In a recent 10-day state visit to China with French President François Hollande, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius made a stopover in Hong Kong to deliver a speech at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center. Fabius discussed how France and China define each other as "global strategic partners" — with both parties needing to rebalance bilateral trade, work together to increase cross-investments, seize opportunities offered by the internationalization of renminbi, and work together on new fields of cooperation, in support of the new priorities set by the Chinese government.
