Film Schools as International Creative Incubators
HONG KONG, March 26, 2014 — Starting from a local school serving its community in New York City, New York University has grown to a national and now an international educational institution. NYU Tisch School of the Arts is a center of study in filmmaking and media arts. In recent years, more and more international students have enrolled in Tisch's renowned graduate film programs.
In an evening presentation in Asia Society Film Education Week with NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, Dean of Tisch, quoted work by international students as examples, shared the current state of global filmmaking at Tisch, and argued for the value of film school as an international creative incubator.
