The Tianminlou Foundation Collection, with S. F. Ko and Anthony Lin

The Asia Society is pleased to launch the Collectors Series, which will take our President's Circle members to the private treasure troves of art connoisseurs in Hong Kong. Members will have the rare opportunity to meet collectors at their homes, view some of their collection with the aim of enhancing appreciation and understanding of Asian Art. Mr. S.F. Ko has invited Asia Society members to an exclusive viewing of the Tianminlou Collection at his residence. The world renowned Tianminlou Foundation Collection consists of a unique group of blue and white porcelains produced in every reign from the 14th century right through to 1911. The Collection comprises many exquisite examples of polychrome decorated porcelains as well as large numbers of monochrome wares of the Ming and Qing dynasties, all of which were made for Imperial use. Many pieces from this Collection have been widely exhibited in national museums in Asia and the US. Mr. Anthony Lin, Chinese ceramics expert and previous Chairman of Christie's Hong Kong and Asia, will co-host this program.
