Families participated the children's exhibition tour at the Asia Society Gallery during Thai Family Day on May 27, 2012. (Asia Society Hong Kong Center)

The Asia Society Hong Kong Center is offering its young visitors an exciting opportunity to partake in docent-led tours, specially designed for children, of its inaugural exhibition, Transforming Minds: Buddhism in Art. Facilitated by experienced docent volunteers, this 30-minute gallery tour will take children on an engaging, stimulating, and inspiring journey of discovery through the exhibition. Young gallery visitors will have a memorable experience learning about history, culture and art as they are guided through the different exhibits. Docents will provide a creative narrative for children as the tour explores the history of Buddhism, the artistic adaptation of iconic Buddhist motifs throughout the different regions of Asia, and Buddhism's prevailing legacy in contemporary artistic practices.

Each visitor will also receive an education pack, replete with activities based on the theme of the exhibition, to complete at leisure at home.

For those parents who have yet to visit the exhibition, take advantage of this occasion to team up with your kids for a docent tour of Transforming Minds: Buddhism in Art.
