Public opinion expert Richard Wike will explore how publics around the world are reacting to U.S. President Donald Trump and how the Trump presidency is affecting America’s global image. He will present the results of a new Pew Research Center survey examining public opinion across the globe regarding the United States, the American people, and U.S. soft power as well as views toward President Trump and his policies. The Pew Research Center has been studying global attitudes toward the U.S. since 2002, and the new survey will highlight the ways in which America’s image has evolved over the past decade and a half. In addition, Dr. Wike will share new research on Asian views toward China and the balance of power between the U.S. and China.

He conducts research and writes about international public opinion on a variety of topics, such as America’s global image, the rise of China, democracy, and globalization.
