Dutch Central Bank President: What Caused, and What Will Halt, Eurozone Crisis
HONG KONG, October 15, 2012 — Klaas Knot has been President of the Netherlands' central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), since 2011. In this capacity he is a member of the Governing Council and the General Council of the European Central Bank, as well as Governor of the International Monetary Fund.
In his speech here at Asia Society Hong Kong Center, Knot presented his views on the Euro zone crisis, the measures taken and (required to be taken) to resolve it, as well as on the Euro zone's role in the global economy. The text of Knot's speech is available at the De Nederlandsche Bank website.
