Asia Society Hong Kong Center Unveils Joseph Lau and Josephine Lau Roof Garden
(Hong Kong, October 21, 2013) Asia Society Hong Kong Center has unveiled Joseph Lau and Josephine Lau Roof Garden. Mr Joseph Lau has been one of the key supporters of Asia Society Hong Kong Center and contributed significantly to the revitalization of the Former Explosives Magazine Compound by The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust.
“It is Asia Society Hong Kong Center’s honor to be entrusted by Mr. Joseph Lau. In recognition of his generosity, the Center’s roof garden was named after him when the Center first opened in February 2012. Mr. Lau’s latest contribution has facilitated the renaming of the roof garden to Joseph Lau and Josephine Lau Roof Garden. We are grateful to Mr. Lau and the family for their generous support to the Center that enables us to continue to serve as a dynamic educational institution to the local community,” S. Alice Mong, Executive Director of Asia Society Hong Kong Center commented.
Set against the Admiralty skyline, Joseph Lau and Josephine Lau Roof Garden is a serene outdoor venue that forms part of the understated and elegant design of Asia Society Hong Kong Center by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects.
