Skadden was one of only five law firms named as an Employer of Choice for Hong Kong by Asian Legal Business as part of an annual survey that was sent to numerous lawyers across Asia who ranked law firms according to their performance in key areas such as work-life balance, promotion prospects and IT support.
Skadden Celebrates Asian-Pacific American Heritage
In May 2012, the Palo Alto office held an Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month program with Chinese American activist and award-winning journalist Helen Zia, moderated by Palo Alto Diversity Committee member and antitrust partner Alec Chang. Palo Alto litigation associate Christine Hung introduced the speakers. Zia spoke on topics ranging from the 30th anniversary of the racially charged killing of Chinese American Vincent Chin, her role in the Wen Ho Lee case and her views on Proposition 8, California’s ban on same-sex marriage. Attorneys and staff from our New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Boston offices watched by video. The program was hosted by the Palo Alto Diversity Committee and the Firm’s Asian American Attorney Affinity Group.
