Michelle Gadsden-Williams: New Co-Chair of the Global Talent and Diversity Council
We are very pleased to announce that Michelle-Gadsden-Williams, Managing Director and Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Credit Suisse AG, has been appointed as the new Co-Chair of our Global Talent and Diversity Council, beginning 1 January 2013.
Michelle is a seasoned Diversity Practitioner having worked for various industries and financial companies, gaining over more than 20 years in experience. She is an exemplary role model and advocate for equality and social justice; she works at refining processes, policies and programs that support an inclusive work environment.
Michelle has been profiled as one of the 40 Outstanding Executives Under 40 in America in 2006, she was also ranked as #6 in the Top 25 Women of Substance in Healthcare by Heart & Soul magazine, most recently she was ranked as #31 in the Top 100 Executives in America by Uptown Magazine. She has received a number of awards and accolades for her work, the most notable of which is being named as the 2010 recipient of the Maya Way Award for Diversity Leadership by Dr. Maya Angelou. Michelle has also been awarded as the 2008 Harvard Black Men’s Forum Businesswoman of the Year. She is also a board member of two foundations, the Jackie Robinson Foundation and the SLE Lupus Foundation in New York. She is also an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a part of the Executive Committee of the Women’s Leadership Board of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She has a BS in Marketing, a BA in Communications from Kean College and an M.S. in Organizational Dynamics (with honors) from the University of Pennsylvania.
