Asia Society Southern California's Asian Visionary Luncheon Series will feature CEO's and entrepreneurs from China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.  With the inaugural event on September 15, 2010, the Series will be a bi-monthly luncheon program for Asia Society members and distinguished business and community leaders from Southern California.

Peter Lowy currently serves as Group Managing Director of the Westfield Group. The Westfield Group is the largest publicly traded retail real estate company in the world, with an equity market capitalization of approximately US$27 billion. The company has 135,000 shareholders around the world and investment interests in 119 shopping centers in four countries (U.S., United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand), with a gross value of approximately US$54 billion.

Lowy serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors for National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and he is a member of the management board of the European Public Real Estate Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Lowy Institute for International Policy (Australia), the RAND Corporation Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and serves on the board of the Homeland Security Advisory Council.
