Keefe is a writer who focuses on international security, immigration, espionage, and the globalization of crime. He is a Fellow at The Century Foundation and a Project Leader at the World Policy Institute. His articles and Op-Eds have appeared in the New Yorker, Slate, the New York Times Magazine and Op-Ed page, the New York Review of Books and other publications. He is the recipient of a Marshall Scholarship, a Guggenheim Fellowship and a fellowship at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library.
