Boardroom Luncheon with Dr Brendan Nelson

Boardroom Luncheon with Dr Brendan Nelson

Dr Brendan Nelson, Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union

Australia formally joined the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) at the last Leaders' Summit hosted by Belgium in 2010. Australia's membership will expand the scope for cooperation on important issues on ASEM's agenda, including climate change and energy security, as well as country-specific situations such as Iran, Burma, Afghanistan and North Korea.

Dr Nelson was the Leader of the Parliamentary Liberal Party from 2007-2008. He was Australian Minister for Defence from 2006-2007, Minister for Education, Science and Training from 2001-2006, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence from 2000-2001.

The luncheon briefing is generously sponsored by Blake Dawson and supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. As limited seating is available the luncheon will provide guests with an excellent opportunity to engage the Ambassador in discussion under the Chatham House Rule.

This is a member event by invitation only.

We welcome Membership enquiries.
