Asia Society Issues Summary Report on Second U.S.-China Museum Leaders Forum
NEW YORK, November 17, 2015 – Asia Society recently published a summary report from the Second U.S.-China Museum Leaders Forum. The conference, held in Shanghai and Hangzhou in November 2014, brought together 12 U.S. and 14 Chinese museum leaders.
The Forum focused on tangible and actionable efforts that museums from each country could undertake to cultivate collaboration and exchange. High-level museum patrons, entrepreneurs, and arts foundation executives spoke on comparative philanthropic cultures and funding models in the United States and China. The U.S.-China Museum Leaders Forum was produced by the Center on U.S-China Relations’ U.S.-China Forum on the Arts and Culture, and by Transfuze: The Asia Arts and Museum Network, both initiatives of Asia Society.
