NEW YORK, December 18, 2007 — In an exclusive interview with Asia Society, renowned Korean director Lee Chang-dong discusses his latest film Secret Sunshine (Miryang), the role of suffering, and God.

Secret Sunshine established the director's international reputation and its star, Jeon Do-yeon, garnered a Best Actress award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
