Asia Society maintains Strategic Partnerships with leading international affairs and other organizations across the Asia Pacific region. Asia Society and its Strategic Partner organizations work closely together to share ideas and expertise, work collaboratively on task force and other projects, link experts affiliated with our organizations to each other and to high-profile international media, and share web and other digital content. Asia Society’s Strategic Partners include the following organizations:

 

Institute of Security and International Studies, Thailand

The Institute of Security and International Studies (ISIS), Thailand is a premier research center in Southeast Asia dedicated to the study of East Asia's interstate relations and regional security. ISIS Thailand is particularly interested in comparative studies of internal conflicts with reference to the insurgency in Thailand's southernmost border provinces. They recently launched an American Studies Program (ASP) and plan to set up a similar ASEAN Studies Program. ISIS Thailand is located in the Prajadhipok-Rambhaibarni building amid the beautiful Chulalongkorn campus. www.isisthailand.org

 

Singapore Institute of International Affairs

The Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) is an independent think tank dedicated to the research, analysis and discussion of regional and international issues. Its research and events reach out to policy-makers, business leaders, professionals and youth. Founded in 1961 and registered as a membership-based society, SIIA is Singapore’s oldest think tank. www.siiaonline.org

 

Institute of Security and International Studies, Malaysia

The Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia is an autonomous not-for-profit organisation that acts as the nation’s think-tank and contributes to public policy formation. Their core research areas include economics; foreign policy and security studies; social policy; and technology, innovation, environment and sustainability. In addition, ISIS Malaysia collaborates on research with national and foreign organisations and engages in non-official diplomacy to further international understanding. www.isis.org.my

 

Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER)

ICRIER is an autonomous, policy-oriented, not-for-profit economic policy think tank. ICRIER's main goal is to inform the policy making process, particularly on issues related to India's place in the global economy. ICRIER's research areas include trade, financial sector regulation, regional cooperation, environment, and the World Trade Organization. www.icrier.org

 

The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA)

The Japan Institute of International Affairs is a policy think-tank focused on foreign and security policy issues. JIIA is Japan’s leading center for producing and disseminating ideas on international relations. On top of a wide range of research programs, the institute promotes dialogues and joint studies with other institutions and experts at home and abroad, examines Japanese foreign policy and makes proposals to the government, and interacts with the public on issues relating to international affairs and diplomacy. www.jiia.or.jp
